For use with NB-100, ST-100X, SGE 150, SGE 400/3 BB or any 40mm Gas Masks
The N-B-1 filter provides protection against a wide variety of dangerous contaminants in the forms of organic gases, inorganic gases, vapors as well as solid and liquid particles. Its durable, rugged design make it pair well with tactical gas masks such as the NB-100 and SGE-400/3. This filter is capable of filtering out the same chemicals as our MaxPro 203 filter.
Some of its core features include:
- Durable Canister for Harsh Environments
- Filtration classification of ABEK1P3 R (more details below)
- Compatible with all 40mm Gas Mask Ports
- Reusable for multiple shifts/exposures
- Caps to seal filter when not in use (increases lifespan)
- Low Breathing Resistance
FAQ:
Q- Can the N-B-1 be used with any Parcil Safety 40mm respirators?
A- Yes. The N-B-1 can also be used with any 40mm respirator certified to EN148-1 standards.

The chart below illustrates filtration classification of the N-B-1
Group of Contaminants |
Protect Against |
A |
Organic gases and vapors with a boiling point above 65°C (e.g. toluene, benzene, styrene, kerosene, petrol, isobutanol, …) |
B |
Inorganic gases and vapors (e.g. fluorine, chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen chloride, …) |
E |
Acid gases and vapors (e.g. carbon dioxide, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, formic acid, hydrogen fluoride, …) |
K |
Ammonia and organic amines (e.g. methylamine, ethylamine, dimethylamine, …) |
P |
Solid particles in the form of liquid and solid aerosols (e.g. dust, smoke, fibers, bacteria, viruses and radioactive particles, …) |
Classification |
Meaning |
R |
Reusable This means that the filter can be worn for more than one shift. |
**For Reference: Number values listed after Letter ratings indicate exposure limit ratings.
- A1 Organic gases and vapors with a boiling point > 65 °C; 10 x occupational exposure limit or 1000 ppm
- A2 Organic gases and vapors with a boiling point > 65 °C; 10 x occupational exposure limit or 5000 ppm (e.g. like A1, but in higher concentrations)
- AX Organic gases and vapors with a boiling point ≤ 65 °C
- B Inorganic gases and vapors (e.g. chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide)
- E Acid gases and vapors (e.g. sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride)
- K Ammonia and derivatives
- Hg mercury vapor
- P Particles, Mists, Vapors
- P1: Water- and oil-based non-toxic dusts and aerosols.
- P2: Harmful dusts, fumes and aerosols based on water and oil.
- P3: Harmful and carcinogenic dusts, fumes and aerosols based on water and oil. Against radioactive particles, as well as airborne biological agents of risk group 3 and enzymes.
- P1: 4 x Workplace Exposure Limit
- P2: 10 x Workplace Exposure Limit
- P3: 30 x Workplace Exposure Limit
- R (reusable): Reusable, can be used for more than one shift.
- NR (non reusable): Single use, disposable filter.
- D: These masks meet and passed the requirements of the optional dolomite dust test. This means less breathing resistance (easier to breathe) over a longer period of use
