These filters cartridges are compatible with the ST-100X, NB-100, SGE 150, SGE400/3 BB or any other 40mm gas mask. These N-B-1-A filters can be used for ammonia and ammonia-derivatives including anhydrous or from livestock confinement or methylamine.
The N-B-1-A features a light weight design with low breathing resistance to maximize comfort while using over long periods of time. Filters are CE 2834 certified and have a 5 year shelf life.
Some of its core features include:
- Durable Canister for Harsh Environments
- Filtration classification of PK2 (more details below)
- Compatible with all 40mm Gas Mask Ports
- Caps to seal filter when not in use (increases lifespan)
- Low Breathing Resistance
- Lightweight Design
FAQ:

The chart below illustrates filtration classification of the N-B-1-A
Group of Contaminants |
Protect Against |
K |
Ammonia and organic amines (e.g. methylamine, ethylamine, dimethylamine, …) |
P |
Solid particles in the form of liquid and solid aerosols (e.g. dust, smoke, fibers, bacteria, viruses and radioactive particles, …) |
**For Reference: Number values listed after Letter ratings indicate exposure limit ratings.
- A1 Organic gases and vapors with a boiling point > 65 °C; 10 x occupational exposure limit or 1000 ppm
- A2 Organic gases and vapors with a boiling point > 65 °C; 10 x occupational exposure limit or 5000 ppm (e.g. like A1, but in higher concentrations)
- AX Organic gases and vapors with a boiling point ≤ 65 °C
- B Inorganic gases and vapors (e.g. chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide)
- E Acid gases and vapors (e.g. sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride)
- K Ammonia and derivatives
- Hg mercury vapor
- P Particles, Mists, Vapors
- P1: Water- and oil-based non-toxic dusts and aerosols.
- P2: Harmful dusts, fumes and aerosols based on water and oil.
- P3: Harmful and carcinogenic dusts, fumes and aerosols based on water and oil. Against radioactive particles, as well as airborne biological agents of risk group 3 and enzymes.
- P1: 4 x Workplace Exposure Limit
- P2: 10 x Workplace Exposure Limit
- P3: 30 x Workplace Exposure Limit
- R (reusable): Reusable, can be used for more than one shift.
- NR (non reusable): Single use, disposable filter.
- D: These masks meet and passed the requirements of the optional dolomite dust test. This means less breathing resistance (easier to breathe) over a longer period of use
